The Municipality of Armeni is located in the northwestern part of the municipality Apokoronos and bordered by the municipality of Chania. The total area of the thesis is 55.2 square kilometers, representing 2.33% of the area of Chania or 0.66% of the area of Crete. The total population of the municipality in 2001 is 3,250 people, representing 2.16% of the total population of Chania or 0.54% of Western Crete.
